Second Foundation is the third novel published of the Foundation Series by American writer Isaac Asimov, and the fifth in the in-universe chronology. It was first published in 1953 by Gnome Press. Second Foundation consists of two previously published novellas originally published in Astounding Magazine (with different titles) between 1948 and 1950, making this the third volume in Asimov's Foundation series. Decades later, Asimov wrote two further sequel novels and two prequels. Later writers have added authorized tales to the series. Talk about a great wrap up to the original trilogy. As is with the last book this book contains two stories it wants to tell. The first being Asmiov tying up the tale end if the Mule saga, and the second I will call life after the Mule saga. Both do such a great job balancing new characters that are quite interesting and many old call backs from the last books. Thank Space that the new characters they introduce are diverse in names and easy to member which was a issue for me in the second book. Will plenty of good twists and turns.

A lot of great development to (who I like to think as the main character) the universe everything takes place in. The revalatuins made really make you reflect on all three books and put a lot of pieces together even if the text does not come …

All in all a great book that puts a cap on a great line of books. I look forward to coming back to this series once I finish my my hiatus to read other books in orer to prevent burn out. Though I would be lying if I said I could not wait to see the further happenings of the Foundation on the great planet of Terminus.
