Nona la novena

I love this book so much. This series really benefits from having read the whole thing in a row, and this is the first time I've read it like this. This story is so much about love and how we love those around us, specifically this book is about the love between a found family and how important it is to care for those around us especially in tough times. The story is so touching, and Muir balances it perfectly with her brand of humor. I was laughing through my tears. "Life is too short and love is too long" "You can't take loved away"

Nona the Ninth answers the eternal question that vexed a generation of 90s kids: What if god was one of us?

I blazed through this book after re-reading Gideon and Harrow (and I'm glad I did- there were details there that were great to have been reminded of). Overall this was a great story; Nona is an interesting mystery and trying to figure her out is part of the fun of this book. It does start off a bit slow, but towards the end it is rushing and almost too much is going on to fully follow it all. This is one I will have to re-read when the next (yes there is a fourth) book comes out.
