I've read a fair bit of Narayan's books but this particular one was a revelation in many ways! I had no idea he wrote an autobiography... but I'm very glad to have discovered this book..
He was unique as Indian author because he was born, educated and lived almost exclusively in India -- a lot of my other favorite Indian authors have strong cross-country connections. I think that is what made Narayan's writings unique and so relatable. I am not going to reveal the interesting details I learnt from My Days, but if you're interested in Indian writing I will strongly recommend you pick up a copy of this book.
